The icing on the cake. Proper nutrition will take you along way. However, digestion and absorption may not always be optimal and requires Enzymes to get the job done. Like a science project, adding the right ingredient can make a difference between activation or deactivation. If the body is lacking certain minerals and vitamin, the results could be less than optimal; and that could mean failure. Everyone is different and has different needs, let us help your access what you are lacking, what are your strengths and your weakness. If poor ATP production is the case adding Creatine Phosphate to your supplementation regimen, may increase your ability to perform more reps. If you have poor recovery abilities, then adding Whey Protein, Siberian Ginseng, L-Glutamine could change your ability to create protein synthesis and aid in muscle production. The following are most commonly used supplements and what they do:

Multi-vitamin/mineral ( a 3x a day formula ) - allows the restoration of loss vitamins and mineral that food fails to provide. Keeps cellular activation balanced, free radical and waste product from physical and emotional stress, in check. Allows recuperation to take place and directs receptor specific function inside the cell.

Calcium Citrate - needed for healthy bones, greater nerve transmission, used for muscle function, helps lower blood pressure. Recommended dose: 1000-1500mg daily divided throughout the day. Food containing: dairy foods, salmon, sardines, seafood, green leafy veggies.

Vitamin C - growth and repair of tissue, helps reduce cholesterol, enhanced immunity, decreases inflammation, individuals with height stress benefit from higher doses. Recommended dose 500-5000 mg during illness and higher stress.
Foods containing: green veggies, berries, citrus fruit.

Chromium - required for Glucose metabolism, may prevent diabetes, may decrease high cholesterol. Dose: 200-600 mcg. Foods containing: brewers yeast, meat, cheese, whole grains, cinnamon.

Zinc - helps with wound healing, helps keep immune system healthy, protects liver from chemical damage. Dose: Between 30-50 mg. Foods containing: oysters, fish, seafood, meats, poultry, whole grains, legumes.

B-Complex - maintains healthy nerve, hair, skin, eyes, muscle tone in intestinal tract, helps with depression and anxiety. Needed if carbs are at the higher end (B1), with folic acid aids in proteins metabolism, needed for healthy cell division. Dosage: 400-1200 mg. Foods containing: whole grains, green leafy veggies, eggs, fish, poultry, bean, nuts.

COQ1O - cell energy and metabolism, prevents cell damage. Dose: 10-300 mg. Foods containing: none

L-Glutamine - helps with restoration of damaged cells in the muscle, speeds up recovery. One of the nonessential amino acids, important during and after training. It neutralizes the catabolic effects of Cortisol. Regulates body' s acid base balance, Electrolyte levels, removes ammonia. Vit B-6 is needed in abundance in order for L-Glut to work properly.

Protein powders/meal replacement - increased protein intake when meal is low in macro nutrient. Improves tissue repair, and increases metabolism. No more than two a day it should never take the place of real food.

Creatine Monohydrate - provides energy without the calories, the primary energy source for muscular movement and heat production is Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) it is made through a process that directly involves Creatine Phosphate. Help draw water into the muscle cell and creates a good chemical balance that favors growth and recovery.

Pro-Hormones - mimics ergogenics, by increasing Nitrogen Retention, protein synthesis and decreasing recovery time. Increase circulation and blood flow to muscle.

Yohimbe - african bark, aides with fat lypolisis of A2 receptors. It is a thermogenic extender . By binding with the A2 receptors it block the decrease in Noraldrenaline production caused be extended dieting.

Fat burners - creates increase in body temperature, aids in Lypolisis. Careful not to create addiction and lack of potency through excess use. Cycle off after 6-8 weeks. Reintroduce after 3 weeks of abstinence.

Calcium D Glucarate - helps rid body of toxins, prevents cancer by allowing androgen and Estrogen balance. Helps make muscle harder with higher doses above 500 mgs. Studies show no toxicity with long term use. Has been compared to Tamoxifen a drug given to women with breast cancer.

In general all supplements are created to increase muscle recovery by aiding in recuperation time for greater muscle mass. Not all supplements are created equal, and are not for everyone. Please note any medical history you may have. I.E. heart disease, high blood pressure, or other medical conditions that could be contra indicative to herbal use. Find out from your doctor if taking prescription drugs that may interfere. Always start with the lower dose and slowly increase over time.
